Have a fun April Fool’s day!
We have been on roadtrip after roadtrip getting ready for the release of Thunderstruck 7! We had several gorgeous days in Colorado and although the snow there is lacking really bad we still made the best of it. On one day Shawn Hastings, Dave Schell and Shain Stanger all pulled amazingly huge chutes! Shawn pulled one on his M8 turbo that was over 1900 VERTICAL FEET! Not sure how far the overall climb was but the elevation change of 1900 feet is the tallest I’ve ever heard of! I know of a few 1500 foot chutes and Dan Davidoff’s “FACE CLIMB” from TS6 was 1700 feet of vertical so Shawn’s feat is one to be proud of! Dave and Shain’s climbs were both around 1700 feet of vertical also! All HUGE climbs! We also spent several days riding with Wes and Doug and Brad and that was crazy fun also! There were 13 Thunderstruck riders on the trip!! GREAT TIMES!
Next on our agenda is the Big Dawg shootout in Pemberton, BC. Some of the TS crew will be there as this is one event we have never attended due to it being such a long drive for everyone. Should be a great time, though! Many people do not know that this is the time of year when the skies are sunnier, the snow is more stable, and Team Thunderstruck is riding almost every day somewhere in the Rockies! And with old man winter still in full force (it is snowing on my deck right now!) throughout the west, we will surely be sledding in June and perhaps even July!
The Jackson Hole hillclimbs were a ton of fun this year and thanks to everyone who stopped and said hi! Congrats to all the climbers who wowed the crowds all weekend! Too much fun!
